About This Site

William Thomas Bayha enlisted in the Army in 1958.

This site is intended as a free resource for any interested persons, but particularly for those having the Bayha surname or otherwise connected to the Bayha family. It was established in 2005 as a non-profit activity of Bayfame, Limited – a Washington corporation owned by members of the Bayha family.

William Thomas Bayha (1937-2022) was the genealogist behind the creation of this website. He has been to Germany many times and has visited living Bayhas, obtaining data from them on their branches of the tree. Tom said, “There is no doubt that all of us come from the same root stock in the small village of Sielmingen, not far from the Stuttgart airport. It is a charming place to visit. Beside Sielmingen there are living Bayhas in Stuttgart proper and in a suburb called Plieningen, as well as other spots in Baden-Wurtemberg.

After Tom’s passing, his family was able to pass the torch of maintaining this website to Lejanna and Michael Bayha of Texas, USA. Lejanna is a 2005 graduate of the Genealogy and Family History program that was taught at the University of Washinton. The couple both have a love for genealogy and both have a background in information technology.

It is our hope that the Bayha Family web site will continue to be a central repository for genealogical research data and related family matters. In this regard, our goal is to ensure that any data available here is as accurate as possible and that verifiable sources are used and cited to the maximum practical extent. Any site user wishing to contribute additional data or improved information of any kind is encouraged to contact us at the following e-mail link:
